Lymphoedema Association Australia

The Lymphoedema Association Australia is a volunteer charity aiming to ensure people living with lymphoedema get the information, treatment and support they need to live well, regardless of where they live. The LAA does this via it's goals of advocacy, support, education and raising awareness.
Lymphoedema is an incurable condition that involves the permanent swelling of one or more body parts. It is more than just a physical condition as it can be debilitating and disfiguring, affecting people both emotionally and psychologically. It is caused by problems with the lymphatic system and could be due to damage from cancer treatments or trauma, or from birth due to a genetic cause.
