Sturt State Emergency Service

The Sturt State Emergency Service Unit comprises of volunteers who provide a rescue service dedicated to protecting life and property, not only in our local community, but across South Australia and interstate.We also provide community response to 'day to day' incidents such as flood and storm damage situations, searches, vehicle vs structure incidents, cliff and steep angle rescues, swiftwater rescues, confined space rescues and any other incidents that might require search and rescue services.

As the Hazard Leader and Control Agency for extreme weather in South Australia, the SES aims to increase community awareness and preparedness relating to extreme weather events. A well prepared community is better able to respond to and recover from an emergency.
